My name is Jess. My interest in web development started back in 2017 and one of my goals is to build accessible applications for everyone!
Previously a graphic design major, I switched over to web development to understand the technical intricacies underneath the hood of web/software applications. It was my curiosity that became part of my self-motivation. Whether I'm finding creative solutions to multifaceted challenges or boosting team communication, morale, and efficiency, I thrive on making a difference and leaving things better than I found them.
Recently, I've been working with: React, Redux, Java, Spring, JavaScript
Transitioned a client's WordPress website over to a brand new site hosted on Hubspot, utilizing Hubspot, listed technologies and API integration for rendering blog posts. Worked closely with designer and client to help streamline design process for wireframes then produced with code. Conducted unit testing and reviews for features and web pages
Blog platform containing blog posts from several categories about technology, cooking, art and productivity. React-Quill is used to create this rich-text editor and express.js is used to route the backend and bring forth data. I am still deciding whether I want to implement Node or Java for backend.
HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript(ES8), React(Hooks/Router), Redux, Bootstrap 4, RESTful APIs
Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Node/Express, Ruby, MongoDB
